Those who promote violence on the ground that the capitalist system is amoral do not understand the fundamental point that people are not amoral. Although there is no doubt that that most of us are in the grip of a corrosive materialism that makes moral thinking difficult, it is certainly not impossible.

Moreover, those who promote violence do not understand that such action has no coherent social meaning in a society in which 99% of the population thinks that it is acceptable to impose pain, suffering, and death on 12 billion animals annually (53 billion worldwide not counting fish) because they &quot;taste good.&quot;

Creative, nonviolent vegan education is the only rational approach to undermine speciesism.
