VEGAN RADIO BUMPERS

In broadcasting, a bumper is a brief announcement that can contain a voice over, placed between a pause in the program and its commercial break, and vice versa. Vegan Radio began as a radio show on Valley Free Radio in Northampton, MA and was simultaneously recorded to become a podcast. We loved to create bumpers even though we didn't have commercials, just because it was fun to mimic radio tropes. These are some of our faves:

Gene Baur

Farm Sanctuary’s co-founder, back when he was still going by Gene Bauston. He is a handsome man, and we thought it was funny to have some sexy music playing in the background. Gene has graced many of our shows.

Scott Lahteine

Scott made invaluable contributions to Vegan Radio as co-host, news anchorman, website programmer, Vegan Bus grease pirate, and dedicated friend of people and animals. A musician himself, he designed FretPet, an app for guitar players. He used that and other computer wizardry to create the original Vegan Radio theme song, as well as several bumpers.
