About Veganica
Art with a Heart
Welcome to Veganica. Since I went vegan in 1996 I have dedicated tons of my creative energy into bringing the vegan message to the world. This site is a way to document those efforts.
This design was made into a tee shirt to promote the original Veganica web site. It was made from one of my farm animal photographs.
The early days
In the year 2000 I was working as a web designer at a small start-up in Holyoke, MA. I got my gifted programmer friend Scott Lahteine a job there too. In our spare time we worked on building a site called Veganica.com (no longer online) - it was an early attempt at social media, a myspace for vegan artists; photographers, video creators, painters, musicians. As the Internet evolved it became outdated and we moved on to Vegan Radio, and the Vegan Bus.
This image was painted by one of Veganica’s artists named Yorda, who lived in Spain and mailed it to me. If you know where she is today, please have her contact me!
